➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Er the temperature is at 37.3 and the humidity between 60 and 65....ill probably keep it in till day 21...i think the incubator readings are faulty but my thermometer and hygrometer are taking reallyy long to arrive
Has your humidity been that high throughout?
HAS your humidity gauge been salt tested?

Its my first time ever too but one definitely looked alive when i candled before lockdown but i dont see much yet actually happening

Er the humidity has been that high throughout lockdown consistently and before lockdown it was at 45-50.. There were a few dips and rises before lockdown so that may be the reason the other eggs didnt make it but one still seeme d very much alive just before lockdown..
and no i didnt salt test the hygrometer..the incubator has a built in one and im not sure what i was meant to do..

Quick dips in humidity or temperature are not likely to kill all the eggs in your incubator.

A temperature spike will kill them in a heartbeat.

Humidity being too high throughout the incubation will also kill them near the end of incubation because they aren't able to lose enough moisture with the humidity being that high and they end up drowning in the egg.

Also you can never and I repeat never trust a built-in thermometer or humidity gauge in any incubator. Always have multiple, separately purchased calibrated thermometers in your incubator at all times and salt test a separately purchased humidity gauge.
