➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

There are 5 chicks out now. The first one is really friendly. It's always looking up at me, and when I put my hand in to tap at the food it runs up to me and climb sunder my hand. It's in with 3 other chicks and they're not cold, so I guess this one really wants a mama.
Uh oh. With my luck that one would be a roo and I would be the one imprinted.

My eggos finally started hatching yesterday! We've got 10 in the brooder right now and another 3 in the incubator still drying off, with a few more still working at their shells. Pretty sure we placed about 24 eggs, so I'm happy with these numbers so far.

My favorite is the darker/almost orangish with stripes one that's slightly above the big gaggle in the above picture. My second favorite is the darkest one that's still in the incubator:

I wish there was a comprehensive picture guide available somewhere of what chicks -> adult growth looked like, though. I'm super interested in knowing what these babies will look like all grown up!
