my shed brooder was way overcrowded with all the chicks from this hatch in there!!!! 😳 sooooooo i decided to move 12 of the biggest to the subaviary. my little lone button was trying to be a bully. it was kinda funny since most of the chicks i moved are already larger than she is!!! but time will tell if they can hack it in the real world of button, guinea pig, and budgies!!!

Chicks try so hard to find ways to die. I went out for a few hours today, and found that twelve chicks had managed to somehow squirm their way inside this feeder. I pull them out one by one until the bottom one, which looks squashed, and I'm sure it's dead. Luckily, I got there in time, and it shook itself back into shape and hopped of into the brooder.

Still, sometimes they make me think of this song:

They’re starting to get their feathers and I’m even more intrigued!! I definitely got at least 3-4 Pansy Fees, which isn’t a surprise considering most of my laying hens are Pansy Fees. But since I’ve never had Italian or Manchurians, I don’t know what some will be! They’re so pretty 😍

Question! Has anyone ever gotten a Pansy Fee with the silver dilute? I’m curious what the cross between a PF and a silver would produce. I have one baby that looks like a Pansy Fee but the colors are definitely gray (first 2 pics)…and I don’t think it’s a Falb Fee. I could be wrong tho!

Do y’all think this 3-4th pics might be what they call a Chocolate Manchurian?

And is the last pic a Pearl Fee or just a more white Pansy? Probably too soon to tell haha :) I’m just excited 😆
