Angry little peckers is what they are. Literally and figuratively. If they weren't such angry little ***** they'd get to hang around longer![]()
I am very surprised that my 3, now two months old, boy are getting along just fine.If they weren't such angry little ***** they'd get to hang around longer![]()
Carry your phone with you next time you go to check on them.My bobwhites are growing pretty good. I watched them for quite awhile tonight observing and learning. Even the really small ones seem healthy, eating, and drinking. They were all stuffed and sleeping when I got home from work. All 100+ were spread out and sleeping like babies. But me rustling around woke them all up. And what a funny sight that was. They were taking about 4-5 steps backwards to poop then zooming off! There was pooping and zooming going in every direction. I wish I would have got it on video.

There was a day or two that I thought all hell was going to break loose with them but they are doing great in the cage together.
Woah I just not realized it is probably time to butcher these three.
Oh my, I have not been paying attention to how old they are.
i’m going to try to figure something out by Monday....I recandled my 8 iffy eggs today decreased that # to 5 iffy. only 3 appear non-fertile and 2 still developing but have cracks in shell near the air cell that i hadn’t noticed at set, so i’m not sure they will make it. I’m truly amazed by only 3 out of 60 non-fertile!! candled the buttons too and at 3 days looks like only 6 of 12 fertile. day 9/10 candling is Sunday so hopefully I can make a clear decision on the few and get all in the big bator, I’m pretty sure I can squeeze the pearls in with the buttons and get them started! The buttons go over to lockdown on hatch day. Can't you squeeze them all in somehow?
I too think waiting 7 days is a bit tooooooo long to wait.
