It is not dark yet.
Am I correct that quail, like chickens, do not lay more than one egg a day?
Yes but sometimes they trick you into thinking they've laid two.It is not dark yet.

Are you going to pocket a couple?
I wish I could!!!! Soooo cute! I didnāt have any duck food....only Pringleās! One of the babies did get brave enough to steal one from my hand thoughAre you going to pocket a couple?

I dunno. I donāt know much, tho, when it comes to all this. Dave Holderread, in The Book of Geese, says misting helps the eggs dehydrate properly. Makes sense to me (evaporation dehydrates & cools), so Iām misting. He hatches a lot of waterfowl and has researched it extensively, so I figured, what the heck? Canāt hurt. He knows more than meātho thatās a very low bar.I still cannot understand the point in misting. Just another āwhatever works for youā thing.

I check into the evening, and at first light now. These eggs are shocking me. Nine yesterday, and TEN today!!!Yes but sometimes they trick you into thinking they've laid two.
