Yeah mine sometimes lay similar ones that almost look like celadon but not quite. Nice and confusing.

Got everyone moved to the new coop today. The original group on one half and the babies in a sectioned off area I’m thinking of as an outdoor brooder. Planning to use deep litter/bedding. Decided there were just too many tree roots and too much washout during big rainstorms to do an aviary on the ground. The whole backyard is maybe 22x30 feet so not much to work with.

Yes, lots of bloom or last layer on it. Some of mine lay some like that every once in a while. I think maybe they hold them inside a little longer?


Would these be precursors to Celadon? One hen lays these but I've never been able to hatch any (haven't tried recently though).

Those are some very pretty eggs. I definitely see some blue in them.

That might be. Jmf said that they're eliminating the splotches in their celadon lines so I bet the wild celadon mutation has splotches...

“accidentally” won another auction this weekend
after already ordering 60 jumbo eggs.....soooooo my egg cartons, 60 jumbo eggs, and 30 falb fee eggs will be arriving this week to set as soon as weekend hatch is in brooder. also put more “homegrown” eggs under silkies yesterday with due date 17thish.
