Omg edge of my seat catching up. I just got home.

I’m so sorry the first one didn’t make it. Looks like some unabsorbed yolk still too, so I doubt there was any way that assisting would have saved it.

But you have 3 cute little fakers and hopefully the other one (two?) make it too.
:wee

I just saw a fb post from myshire farm (where I ordered eggs for this hatch). They are currently guaranteeing a 60% hatch rate on all eggs ordered through January 14th!! If anyone is looking to ship in eggs for hatching, this is almost too good to be true and worth checking out! I’m only halfway through incubation, but so far at least 25 of 30 eggs I received (i only ordered 25) look to be fertile and developing appropriately.

If only I wasn't already incubating 103 eggs. I just started them on 12/29, so I will not be able to refill the incubator until 1/17 likely. Would be nice to have two gene pools running separately that I could interbreed later on. Oh well. I'll just get a few quail in the future in a trade hopefully, which is what I originally planned to do.
