Happened to me with Turkey eggs.. they were all infertile. Candled after 10 days.. then cracked them all to check. Paid waaaaay too much to begin with, but there was a slight language barrier between me and the seller, so I just couldn't be bothered

Even quail eggs from BYC seller.. out of 12 eggs, 7 infertile. Zero hatched.
Bloody expensive compared to other sellers, and shipped too.
Didn't have much chance to begin with

Probably not, it would have been absorbed or it would have choked to death at that time. You have a dissecting microscope...otherwise it would be very difficult to perform a necropsy on a body that small.
