Okay, does anyone else feel like they get one bleeder every hatch? I don't even count them as issue babies because usually I slap some pepper on, check them the next day, and they're fine, but GOSH is that an unwelcome adrenaline rush.

I don't think I have dealt with a bleeder quail baby yet.

Wait, they are jumpy early? My 6-day-olds are still pretty mellow.

Keep messing with them daily.
Mess with them a lot and they will calm down again after they go through the jumpy crazy stage.

I have 45 all from my first (and only so far) hatch. I cannot give that sort of attention either.

If bobwhites live in pairs.. if you incubated your own baby bobwhites, at what age would they start trying to kill their hatch mates?
