Wife just sent me a pic of another that just hatched. She said it was acting funny. They are way late hatching I suspect there will be more problems with any more that hatch. How many eggs? (Cant remember)
You might get a few more hatch

Saddle cell? I believe the only thing you need to do is not turn for the first two days (too late), and keep it horizontal the whole time.Just candled buttons again.....none of the air cells look good
but there was clear movement in at least 1 of the remaining 8! the air cell is around the fat end but curves up to top of small end and back down on the side opposite the embryo. my guess is that the air cells got disrupted in shipping?? Is there anything I can do at this point to improve the odds or do I just stick with crossing my fingers and waiting it out (and never again order from ebay!)

They have been horizontal the whole time but were in the auto-turner for the first few days until I scooted them out to set the pearls. have had them at the end of the turner and been hand turning 2x daily since. I read through the notes a bit and plan to read it more thoroughly later. (i believe i ran across that thread when i first started hatching). this is the batch that I didn’t have clear shipping info so they arrived at the office on Saturday. They redelivered on Monday but because pkg was small he slid it in the mailbox!! so not really sure how much the little guys got jostled around in shipping!Saddle cell? I believe the only thing you need to do is not turn for the first two days (too late), and keep it horizontal the whole time.

Nope nope nope...... I can’t do hissing in the dark. I’d be yelling for the hubs or 12 year old.On a similar note. The first time I ever had Button quail, I didn't know what kind of call or noises to expect, I was awaken by a horrible hissing sound one night, I thought there was a monster from a B- horror movie loose in my house. First time you hear it, it will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck!![]()
