That's good to know. I wishhhh I had a hatchery close by so the eggs didn't have to suffer through shipping. I think the first batch I ordered got bonked by shipping. This batch thankfully just the few rotten dudes in the extras and very few clears(compared to the first)in the celadons. Is myshires website catalog up to date? I have no facebook for auctions :/since they got the new barn up and running zack seems to have really good systems in place to stay on top of the shipping!! As I was going back through my records, I have actually set over 500 of their eggs this year (this batch included). i’ve only had a couple batches that had “unexpected” usps delays and my overall fertility rate has been around 70% with overall hatch rate being around 50%. I’ve found a couple here and there with cracks that I missed but only “rotten” egg was one of my own!! He offered to replace the eggs i lost during July incubator malfunction but I haven’t had room thanks to my auction addiction and “accidental” wins!! About the only thing I could do at this point to possibly improve my hatches would be to invest in a better quality incubator and better thermometers for calibration and monitoring. (1000-1500 vs my current 250 investment)
