I just started offering crushed oyster shell too but for a while all I did was chicken egg shells. I collect them in a jar for several days, microwave for a minute or two then smash with a wooden spoon. I haven’t offered quail shells because I’m a bit worried it will somehow encourage them to start eating their eggs. That might just be me though.What do you guys use as calcium for your layers? Oyster flour?

I'll be setting some sometime this week probably!
Won’t the sillies know when to stop eating the stuff? The pieces aren’t super big but now I wonder if I should find a way to crush it more. That doesn’t sound like a fun job.
