How did your water get empty?

I think it leaks or they run through the dish and spill a bunch. I’m not sure. But it seems like they go through it really fast and the paper towels all around keep getting sopping wet

I really think they play in it.

And then yesterday I filled it then left for a bit and in that time they emptied it. But the food is also wet so they should be hydrated enough so idk.

It’s really weird because I thought it was leaking but then sometimes it stays full so

I’m gonna try a different one though.

I just use the little quart with a quail designed bottom. Besides the wrynecked on having a bit of difficulty finding the opening, they all use it great

I think mine is just a regular chick waterer. Probably need a smaller one.

Have you put big rocks in it to try and keep the dummies out of playing in it?

I collected eggs for two or three days but I did not mark them.
I'm kicking myself for not marking them because I have clears and I really want to know what cage the clears are coming from.

I would have put marbles in mine if I hadn't found that little gem. I also head that quail always drown themselves though, so I was paranoid

Yes.
I wasn't really going to set the eggs so I kind of just dropped them into a cup when collecting.
There may be more cracked ones.
I haven't candled them all yet.
