It was an excellent suggestion!! Just wish they weren’t out of stock haha I’m surprised how many Mazuri products they carry!!I suggested Chewy because I knew they offered free shipping.

Yeah it’s so weird to me that stores don’t seem to carry gamebird feed!! Especially when they usually sell turkeys!
I thought that I could have it delivered to the store since TSC does have the Purina one on the website but for whatever reason, that is not an option for that one.![]()
This is extremely helpful, thank you!!! We do actually have a local store near me that I usually love but I haven’t been to lately because you have email your order ahead of time. You can ask at your TSC for them to order feed for you, and they can get stuff they don't usually carry in store, they have a way to do it. But it's hit and miss. Once I asked them to order feed for me and they got it. Another time I asked them, and they strung me along for weeks before I finally gave up and just assumed it wasn't coming in, even though every time I called and asked they assured me it was. Spoiler alert, it wasn't.
Or just find yourself a nice, locally owned feed store that will order you whatever you ask and then actually get it in for you. The small locally owned feed store near me carries Poulin Grain and was more than happy to have a standing order of Poulin's ratite feed for me when I asked them to. And Poulin also does a Gamebird feed, so once I get through this bag of Purina's Gamebird feed, I'll be having them order that for me too.
That would be good! Also, any article about raising them for meat - as in how you raise them before you process them, in order to get a nice sized table bird - would also be good. Like housing, what you feed them, etc. And then also details like if you have to not feed them the day before processing, etc - we really need these types of articles for birds other than chickens. So far the new section is basically entirely chickens.
I’m. Not the best o e for housing as I keep my birds in 600+ sq foot aviary setting with mixed flock! It’s been a learning curve that is definitely not a one size fits allas it requires more space and is not cheap!!!!
This article is perfect! Thank you for putting it togetherI've never processed a quail before but after reading this I'm sure I could. And I have a couple extra males around, so actually it's tempting...
