Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
i just candled the button eggs that i took out of the aviary.....one was rotten and trashed when i brought it inside and i just busted another rotten one :sick i have no idea what days they are on 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ 5 look close to lockdown 3-4 look halfway and last couple look to still be around day 4-5. not exactly sure how to do this one as i need to get my 3 pheasant eggs going as well

they pulled the hatch a batch app too!! 😭😭😭 i lost all records of previous hatches and cant start a new one!!
i need to see if i can steal mr muddy’s phone or laptop for hatchkeeper
Oh, no! I tried Hatch-a-batch, but didn't care for the interface. I'm glad now that I use HatchKeeper. That one lets me download the files so I keep an archive.

My little runt laid her first egg today. She looks like a normal quail now and lives outside in a fenced area to get to know the gang. The little bug had it rough, almost lost a leg, had watery diarrhea for days and looked like a tiny chick at the age of 5 weeks. I am so happy she is alive and thriving.:wee

A word of advice, do not ever hatch any of her eggs.

Oh no I would never do that. The same goes for my partially blind hen. Trust me, after putting so much effort in keeping this tiny quail alive, I wouldn't want a second one of her. She is the only one with clipped wings, so I should be able to tell her apart.
