The dreaded broody poop!I think this was just a one time thing. Every other day, she had pooped a big, chunky poop, but not runny.
Thank you.

I made the mistake of having a broody hen enclosure near my living room windowI have never smelled anything SO bad in my life. Truly.
Wowsers, sorry for assuming your silkies are the same size as ours (and by default observation around here locally) the smaller silkies. She is not a bantam. She's a standard sized Silkie, the same size - if not bigger - as my OE.
She has food and water near her at all times, refilled every morning.
You started a thread? When are your eggs due? So eggciting!!![]()
Most of the eggs under the broody are medium and small bantam eggs.. the bottom of the egg is smaller than the head of the flashlight, so I find it much easier to see inside the egg when there is no light going around the egg, but rather directly into and through the egg.I got nothing - more often than not, I can't see the inside of mine well, and rarely candle this early. So Imma plead ignorance. Also, I usually candle from the bottom, not the side. Unsure if that makes a difference?
Link please?Well....I'm not very good at candling, so don't do much of it! I use this Gal's website and go by her photos and videos![]()
