How do they do this??? She lays really large eggs at times, large! And double yolkers...But this one, man the photo doesn't even really show how big it is. I wish I had a scale. I've gotten a lot of double yolks through the yrs. but never a triple. And, I've never gotten that >> egg within an egg thing. Will see. Have to eat this tomorrow.




The other dark egg is hers from yesterday, the lighter one from a brown sex link..this big
egg is from a Red Sex Link.

Haha. I can't get away with buying a new incubator yet. Similar story: My first 6 chicks were a gift. 4 were cockerels so she gave me 5 more chicks. Then I bought and set 45 eggs in the incubator I borrowed from her. 25 hatched successfully. Then my first pair started mating and laying so I set some pullet eggs. I haven't delved into other fowl yet. Ducks may be next.

Dont worry, i am assured that this is normal, and we have superb company

That's a much quicker addiction. If you find a support group that doesn't have the side effect of more chickens, let me know. ;-)

Just set 90 coturnix eggs.

You sound like me. I just moved back home July 1st, had no birds. At one point I had around 100 chickens and 100 quail. I'm down to 7 jubilee orpingtons, 5 lemon cuckoo orpingtons, 6 cream legbars, and 25 quail. Just set 90 quail eggs in the incubator and expecting a dozen or so assortment of black copper marans, sulmtalers, and cream legbars in a few days. I may need to go to poultry addicts anonymous. Lol

Haha! Its just so fun! I have 7 pens all built in these 6 lil ole months! Well, one was towed home on the roof of the car...

Eggs have been sent from the regional sorting to our post office. Too bad the eggs will arrive tonight and be picked up tomorrow since they are closed for the night. Oh well!
