I candled some of my black coppers and quail eggs last night and there is life!! Im soooo excited! This is my first time and Im so nervous to do something wrong and kill the little guys. But all my doubt was for nothing because I seen hearts beating

which btw was a pretty amazing experience! I think im hooked. Now, to get them all the way to hatching lol

You could always try the route of what they Standard Poodle was originally bred for. It was originally bred to be a hunting dog.

The Avian Flu that is raising havoc this year is Hi Path -highly pathenogenic. I wouldn't worry so much about a sneeze, the symptom you are looking for with this bird flu is death. If we are unfortunate enough to have it swing back into the State's, I plan to get all of my free ranging birds under roof and wrap their runs in hardware clothe and wildlife netting to keep out all wild birds and rodents.let's all just keep our fingers crossed.

I'm going to knock the nests out of place. They are nesting like I've never seen before. Too many for comfort~! There's no way I can cover the area they are in.............:(

Ewwww! Has it hurt any chickens? I hope you found how its getting in....

Last year we literally had an epidemic of skunks having babies all over. Our county is listed as having the most rabies in the entire western hemisphere...........we've been trapping as many as possible. One of them killed 9 babies this Spring and my Silkie on my shoulder only has one eye due to being one of the 3 it didn't kill. Setting traps again and this time it/they, can't get to the babies.
