Im having issues with my incubator humidity as well. It runs dry at 50-55 % even 60 sometimes. Ive added a bowl of dry rice in there to help dry it out but it hasnt helped. I even opened the vent holes all night but nope. I didnt calibrate it because I wasnt sure how to do the big one inside of the incubator. But I do have 2 other hygrometers and thermometers coming in the mail today. Fingers crossed everything is normal because its only on day 5 for my black coppers and day 3 for my quail and naked neck.

Also when do you guys start to candle your eggs? The black coppers are extremely hard to see in, I can make out a darker and a lighter part. But this is my first time so I have no idea lolol. Do you candle quail eggs or just hope for the best?

Well thank goodness om not alone. I was thinking of moving them to my basement by the dehumidifier but I hate going down there and its chilly. This is a humid fall for sure. Good luck to you!! I hope we both figure this out lolol

Good luck to you also:) surely there are some tricks to get it down...yneres a heater running full-time in the little room with them!

At least they aren't .. Tiny Tots! That's what I call my tiny tiny baby chicks.

I stopped using the channels during my first hatch. It was too hard to take humidity away when it got too high. I use a sponge in a glass dish below one of the vents and use a straw and syringe to add water until lockdown.I'd vote for dry, but I'm not sure which way is best.

Ok. What fabric for the apron? Two or more fabrics per apron.

Or these?
I'm jealous of the eggs, but look what arrived for me today:
LOVE that Honeybee pattern! The red and while florals are both very pretty too, if you're doing a dual-color. I personally have been eyeing some halloween-patterned aprons on Etsy...maybe I can convince the husband to buy one for me when we decorate the store!
