I guess the stink I'm remember isn't a rotting stink, ugh, it's hard to explain.

Definitely not a rotting smell though.

I second the float test though!

Oooo, the post office called, promised the eggs were out on the truck (the truck is in the area now, I can hear her!)

They said I will definitely get my money for shipping back, I just have to go down to the office next week. They also looked up hatching egg claims for me and said that if the eggs are scrambled I can definitely try to file for insurance.

Please please please cross your fingers that these eggs are in perfect condition. This has been insane. Lol

Ok. Eggs are here (much less poop covered than the last batch)

Of 6, I have 3 with saddle bag air cells and 3 that are detached completely.

I am going to leave them in the upright position overnight and see if any of the 3 will reform for me.

I'm going to have to figure out how to get them upright in the incubator. My brinsea is pretty shallow so I'm nervous. I hope I can make this work.

The three with saddle bags have the best chance.

ok at least you can research it and see what you can do. What kind of Brinsea do you have? would they go in propped up at 45°?

I have an octagon eco 20. I'm going to measure and see if removing the screen will give me the eek of room in need to get them upright completely.

We just need to get to 15 days!

After that everything should be fine.

And hopefully after 24 hours of settling one or two of the fully detached cells will re-form itself.

ok sounds like a plan. I've an octagon advance 20 and if I removed the screen by the fan I reckon mine would go in upright. It wouldn't affect the incubator at all I don't think. Not for 15 days. Then u could put it back on.
I think it's only there to stop hatchlings from touching the fan and stuff isn't it?

I believe so. I may hop on our local page and see if anyone has a styrofoam incubator I can borrow for a few weeks if these don't fit, just in case.
