Above ground pool - advice needed!

Ummmm baking soda is sold by 12lb bags with directions on the back for balancing pool pH.......it's a popular base and a buffer, just because it's different doesn't mean it doesn't work.

Now I personally like to buy the 12lb bags for other uses when they go on clearance at the end of the pool season.

Ahh... phooey. This just keeps getting worse. Surely I don't need the chlorine tabs if I am using the Clorox? Or am I being a dumba$$?

Sparkly water sounds good. Sure beats green slime...

We use both to be safe....
You only do the big bleach/shock every so often... maybe monthly? (i'll have to ask hubby..)
But the tablets float in your pool every day and keep it sanatized,...
For your sized pool..it will be cheap.. a bucket of tabs should last you the whole summer ...
you just need a tablet dispencer.. You put the tabs in it and they float in your pool... or some people even put them in their pool skimmer and that works...

I have a intex 15 ft and used a intex 12 foot.Used cholrine tablets in a floater and shocked every so often. Worked well all summer to keep the water good. Just remember to clean or replace the filter often.

I did notice the bags of baking soda in the pool section. Will look for them on sale too.

The intex pool is decent, but I can't wait for a sturdy pool with a deck.A pool that can handle more harsh activity, because swimming in a circle just doesn't cut it for the kids.
Only time I got in the pool was to skim it with a net,but I'd sneak in a few laps if no one was looking
