$1,200 includes running gear and 8' x 16' structure. Complete with light, nest boxes, hanging feeder and heated water for 65 chickens. Goes anywhere you can find pasture.

Do a 16 X 20. Eliminates that problem... lets you have more chickens. Or you could divide it into three mini coops for breeding purposes... you'd just need more doors.

The reason for the 10x20 was I only could find 12 ft corrugated metal roofing and I think i have found someone selling 16 ft roofing. It would be a lot easier to build that a gabled roof but i am not sure what I will do for the roof just yet. I've never built a gabled roof this large before. What do you guys think? Gabled or Shed/sloped roof?

We are planning to live here for 1-2 years but i wont be setting anything in concrete and the Pole Barn Style is pretty cheap to build compared to a Coop I am just needing something that is weather proof for these chicks i will be hatching out in the next month or so. I am making this to where it will be easy to assemble and disassemble. It will consist of 4 2x4x8, 20 2x4x10, 4 2x4x12. 2 2x6x12, 9 2x6x14, 7 4x4x10 treated posts, 16 4x8 1/2" Plywood, and 10 pieces of 16' Corrugated Metal Roofing. The cost will be around $650-$700 for most of the materials.

Hey what is rolled roofing? is it inexpensive? How do you apply it?
