No it was a large knife DH had just sharpened. This is stupid but I was scraping/rolling sourdough bread dough with it. I used it to divide the dough then instead of using my dull cleaver I keep for that purpose, I started moving it with the long sharp carving knife.

Unfortunately, we all have those "Doh!" moments. Some of them hurting worse than others haha. I hope you heal up quickly! I hate clean cuts...gives me the heeby jeebies!

Only things worse a dull knife will rip, the sharp knife cuts clean.

Yes it did cut clean but it’s one of those where you can swear you can hear it sing? Maybe that’s just me.

I have a block scraper for that!

I use my Bench Scraper to divide my bread. Aria
