I'm a bit appalled how attached we are to our cell phones and recently how attached I am to mine.
Nowadays, it seems your phone must be attached to your head. It saddens me to see children with ipods, ipads and cell phones texting, typing, blah blah blah.
So I've begun to just disconnect every once in awhile.
From time to time, I like to just turn off my phone and go on an adventure (of course, telling a few people my whereabouts lol so I don't appear on that darn show "I should't have survived")
I got my phone, because I like to disappear once in a blue, caring for my animals and learning new things and doing things I need to get done.
The phone was for family and friends so they could at least get me when needed on certain basis.
However, recently I've gotten nothing but voice messages full of angry messages of them needing me to do this or do that for them, or how I need to run errands.
I believe family and friends are beginning to take advantage of my "leash"
A bit appalled and more upset and sort of in a lovingly, joking of the aggressive voice messages, "I grew balls" way and my new voice message is:
"Hi, I'm not attached to my phone, so if you can't leave a nice message, you can go screw yourself. If you can, please leave a message and I will be sure to reach you later! Thanks a lot!"
Maybe a bit aggressive on my part, but since people aren't listening to me in any other way...
Made me chuckle a bit, but maybe people will begin to understand that it is not very nice to leave mean voice messages, especially after I have explained to them I am busy and I do have a life.
Thank god chickens love you no matter what you do
