AUGUSTA, MAINE poultry swap/chicken stock saturday March 31st TSC

I have our first item for the swap that will be given away as a door prize. it is 4 tickets to the Gold Room Comedy club in portland and a private table. must be used by May 18th. so anyone attending the swap (21 years old and up) make sure you get your name put on a free ticket for the drawing.
drawing at noontime.

depending on the size of your hens, you can get free cat litter buckets for bantam breeds at your local recycling center or TSC sells them that will fit large fowl.

Will anyone be selling brooding boxes in Augusta, March 31st? If so, how much? Thanks!

We are building our first chicken coop in the corner of our barn (with outside access) and would like to use the traditional wooden nesting boxes, in singles or duplexes or sets to house 6 to 8 laying hens, to start. We have found that we can buy them on-line, but would rather purchase from Mainers! Does anyone sell these locally?

Most TSC's have them for around $10 a piece. I have both the wooden ones and the bucket ones, and I prefer the buckets. They stay cleaner.

updating my list of what I will have for sale- i will hold certain birds for a limited time if you pm me otherwise, it's first come, no regrets.
lavender orpington cockerals
black orps pullet/cockeral
cuckoo orp pullets
silkies
and if requested, wyandottes chicks of assorted colors, less then 8 weeks old. (blacks, blues mostly)
wyandotte hatching eggs- black over white, blue laced red and blue- may still get some chicks from my blue laced roo. both roosters are huge.

I will not be attending the swap (have to work until 3) but if you are interested in some colored (some regular EE some olive egger) layers or some brown layers, I've got a bunch of almost 6 week old females ready to be sold. PM me if you're interested.
