Post of my 7 month old Blue Australorp with some great lacing. She has been laying for about a month now. I can't wait to hatch more eggs from her Momma, so I can get more like her.

Yes, she does have that better lacing. Do your splash ones have some good splashing in them showing up yet?

The one that doesn't have much splashing could be put with a darker blue roo that has some good lacing to improve the splashing in her future chicks.

Any white spots is probably dried sour cream. They go crazy for that & yogurt when given as a snack.

Thank you. I've been admiring your beautiful birds.
This is my first time to own the breed. They are very vocal! My DH & I call it screaming! They will let you know quickly when you haven't opened the coop early enough to their liking or when your not giving out treats fast enough or opening the gate for them to free range into the larger yard area. Some more vocal than others!
