Baby quail with pigeon feet

Can I help him or her at all? Like how u can with chickens…..I feel so terrible…1 of 12 that hatched is like this a friend asked me to incubate them for him ( he lost his quail to a predator, and his inc don’t hold quail eggs..) I know he won’t take this one…..but he’d cull it….and I can’t have that…

Do you mean it's legs are turned out? Could be spraddle leg, pictures would help.

Depending on severity, I’ve had quail survive with curly toes and some degree of splay leg and other hatch deformities but severe cases of straddle/splay leg that do not correct with treatment or on their own are better off culled IMO. In large groups, they typically get suffocated/trampled on the bottom of the pile and culling is much more humane.
