On feed options for our little friend, Hagen or F.M. Brown? Other recommendations?

For grit, is there a brand you recommend? It looks like Morning Bird makes a well reviewed one.

I had to look those up online. Definitely I would pick the Browns which is for PIGEONS rather than the other which is for both pigeons and doves. You can see the various F. M. Browns formulas contain more larger grains in the mix such as types of peas.

I also looked up morning bird grit and it looks fine to me. Are you ordering online? Most of the cost of grit is the shipping as it is HEAVY. lol

I found a local feed mill that makes a pigeon mix in 50# bags for $20.00 I just googled 'pigeon feed + my city and state'. They can deliver it to my local pet food warehouse. Maybe your pet food supplier can do the same for you as I believe you should get him a friend and keep him forever!

It's a mix we have for orphan mice, and I'm not sure how good it all is for the pigeon. The fellow loves the corn though! Pigeon food is arriving tomorrow.
