Tell us about "cuddle time". Pal is out for many hours a day in the studio, and he gets periodic treats and scratches, but wouldn't call it cuddling. Should we be doing more full fledged cuddling of Pal?

What are male and female pigeons called? And do they have distinct voices like other birds so you can tell the difference. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one with a curled feather on his tail.

Male and female are cock and hen. The vocalizations are different between males and females...usually ...but pigeons are notorious for gender overlap in behavior and it can be very difficult to tell, especially with just one bird. Sometimes 2 males will pair up, or 2 females.

Frillbacks have curly feathers all over.
