BRA incubator!

I too am following this thread with interest. I don't think I could be "careful" for three weeks.

However, that said, I have warmed a few chilled chicks and many a chilled rabbit kit in my cleavage. It gives you a nice gentle warmth to slowly bring them up to temperature. And it's quite the sensation when the cold baby starts to move around and come back to the land of the living!

It makes you feel almost magical!

When our power went out earlier this year due to the horrible storms, I was so tempted to pick out two
of the best developing eggs I had in the incubator and .. put them ahem in my bra. Everybody was
rooting me on to do it, to. However, I felt they would have a better chance underneath the broody I had
outside. Knowing me and my clumsy self. I can't walk a straight line let alone keep something so fragile
..THERE. Haha! Following this thread, and wishing you luck!

Just candled and the red dot in the center of the dark yolk shadow is better defined and tiny vessels can be seen emanating from it. I still don't see an air cell and have been concerned about that from day one. I don't know how an air cell will form due to movement of the egg. Day 5 started at 8pm EST. An image of the egg tonight wouldn't look so different as yesterday, so I will wait until tomorrow night to post another candling pic.

I love what you're doing here, and can't wait to hear more...good luck and please don't turn over in your sleep!!

I've got plenty of natural cushioning to protect the egg. I don't sleep on my tummy because it hurts my low back, but I do sleep on my side kinda half on my tummy. It's funny though, I've tried the egg under both "girls" and it is less in the way under the left one. Weird. I worry about the humidity under there, if it gets too high. The digital thingy reads 42-48% but I never have trusted that thing. I got a bit sweaty during my house cleaning marathon today, so I placed the egg in a thin sock and put it back in the brabator.

The humidity will probably fluxuate during the day. I wouldn't worry about it. It is probably pretty close to what happens under a broody and will balance out in the end.
