It is possible it's just quality throwing me for a loop.. I'm totally here to learn, despite being too opinionated.Male Delawares

Male Delawares have barred leakage down their backs...Yeah, definitely not a Delaware. Here is my Delaware hen for reference. Although that said males probably look slightly different and I think they usually do have a bit more black on them, mostly in the neck and tail/lower back region, so I suppose it’s possible they just haven’t grown into the color pattern yet and might get more white? Especially being hatchery birds and not bred to standard. BUT I don’t think that is the case here. I think this is something different entirely but what I’m not exactly sure. What were they sold as ?? Or were they not labeled ??

Oh okay that’s interesting! I wasn’t sure because the ones I looked up seemed to have much less and these almost looked laced or something but it might be because they are young still and will grow into the color and get more white lolMale Delawares have barred leakage down their backs...
These are delawares.
I agree...I think these guys are just poor quality.Oh okay that’s interesting! I wasn’t sure because the ones I looked up seemed to have much less and these almost looked laced or something but it might be because they are young still and will grow into the color and get more white lol
Yeah I’m sure that’s probably it! But will be interesting to see what they grow into lolI agree...I think these guys are just poor quality.
They may be Delaware Broilers.
For myself, the original poster, or anyone else who might not understand this already..I agree...I think these guys are just poor quality.
I think you are correct.. according to stated age and comb/wattle development. Most breeds will start to show gender saddle feather around 12 weeks..I didn't think they looked quite like Delawares
But almost positive they are both boys
