Us too! We had to eat the polish male we had. He was the meanest thing ever (attacked everyone in site, from the front, side and at our backs too). The other chickens even hated him. They would kick him out of the coop every time he tried to enter, and he'd have to sleep on the roof of the chicken house. I kept thinking an owl or something would take him one day, but it never happened (they were probably scared of him too, since every other bird we've had outside on accident has been eating immediately). Sadly though, I still had some weird sympathy for him anyway. When I sliced his neck when he was in the cone, he didn't even flinch. It felt like he was wanting to leave this world. Every once in awhile I think of him - I guess every creature is interesting in it's uniqueness in some way, even when they're mean. I don't think it was his fault so I just feel sorry for him.
Now, if I could figure out which rooster(s) attacked/killed my favorite australorp male the other day, I would kill him/them. None of the others showed damage (I have lots of young males 3-6 months old), but they beat him up so badly that he bled to death basically through his comb. I put him out of his misery after a day and the flies were coming to him so I knew he didn't have long left, just huddled under the bushes alone. I miss him, sweety boy. He was so nice to the hens too.
