Well that's true, I just like to keep it cleaned up and organized.

Quote: The conversion seems to have eaten a few of my PMs, at least 1 with an address. Guess I'll have to go look in the trash.
Not the first time Imp's been in the trash.
Seriously?Hate to keep beating a dead horse, but the stuff on the right is STILL making my computer VERRRRY SLOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW to load a page --- any page!!
I do NOT mind the ads and reviews on the right side of the page ---- it is just that the page load time is frankly a minute or longer in many cases!!!!!
With the old format, my browser had the ads in the cache so that they loaded quickly after the first viewing. Not this time. The ads load new EACH time, which makes it VERY SLOOOOWWWWW EACH TIME!!!!!
It is like pulling teeth to browse posts and read casually. Regular pictures that ppl post up are loading fine, but the toolbar on the right hangs the page every time!!!
I really believe there was a _radical_ lack of consideration and ARROGANCE displayed by management with this change. No one ever polled members as to what we wanted or asked whether or not fast page load times were important.
Yes, you needed a bigger server. Cool. Then upgrade hardware to suit current traffic levels..
Yes, you needed some upgrades. OK - then make limited upgrades that are compatible with older computers and slower rural connections!!!!!
Your client base is not office workers in corporate office parks with high-speed connections and the latest computers. Many of us have older computers and lack the funds or desire to continuously upgrade them to suit OTHERS" technologocial whims!!!!
I get the feeling that quite a few peeps have already LEFT the site (because the pages WON"T load on their machines).
And, those of us with slightly better equipment but still not brand new $1500 computers who are expreiencing extremely SLOOOOOOWWWWWWW page load times have just about HAD IT!!!
So long..........
