Super silly chickens!

I have a new recipe for you guys.

Buffalo Chicken Dip:
16 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mex-mix, pick your favorite!)
8 oz Ranch dressing
26 oz cooked (or canned-rinsed and drained) chicken, shredded (more or less to your liking)
12 oz buffalo wing sauce (again, more or less to your liking)

Mix all ingredients well, spread into a 9x13 pan. Bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Dip with corn chips, or whatever sounds good to you. My favorite is the thin, crispy, white corn chips, like Tostido Scoops! Served warm is best, but can be refrigerated and reheated in small portions. Recipe can be downsized also!

What is an SS?
super silly chickens?
I am not sure I need any of those.
I have a super silly dog, she doesn't need any encouragement.
SS= Speckled Sussex (although I suppose some are super silly)

@NorthFLChick thanks for good wishes. There is no accounting for men, DH wants to buy a HUGE place now, build small cottages and rent them out, and have an area for MY chooks. Honestly it would be much cheaper to build a new run for me/chooks.

Virgos I will never understand them, apparantely he has been sitting on this idea for months and not said a word. So now we are looking, the thought of moving years and years of accumlated stuff, let alone everything else is quite daunting. Still is sounds quite exciting I suppose you are never too old to start new things

It does seem like it would be easier/cheaper just to build a new run but who knows...you may be in for a big new adventure!

I'm wondering if I should just build a little extra run for the nuggets. I mean, it's going to be many weeks before I can integrate them into the main coop with the ladies...may as well just build a small coop/run and that'll be good for in case of needing to quarantine down the road later on too. Oh well. Gotta pay dmv cash monies on Thursday and even more on Friday (non op on an out of registration international truck thanks hubs :/) so building a coop may wait a wee bit.

May even get super lazy and get some pre-fab kit. We'll see. Hubs wants to use leftover chicken wire on a brooder for the nuggets but no. Foot down. Nuggets need hardware cloth.

On the random side I found out tractor supply's heat lamp bulbs are much cheaper than the feed store. $10 for one red at the feed store or $10 for two at tractor supply.

Hi Margie, looks like you had a terrific ride yesterday. Nice photos!

My only ride today will be to the grocery store (it is a 44 mile round trip ride, lol).

Maybe more coffee is the answer...what was the question again?

Have a good day everyone!

Morning! You guys are pretty quiet, hope all is well..... I have more chicks coming in today and I hope this is the last for the year. Now, I really need to start getting ready for Winter!
Time to coffee up and start on the chores.

If your weather is anything like the U P of MI, you spend most of the 'not snowing' season cleaning up and repairing damage from the last season and getting ready for the next season. Once in awhile you get in a nice ride, maybe even a couple!
Enjoy the 'not snowing' season!!
Scott
