I have wondered the same.
I needed to have started smaller and with a rooster.
Then every two years let a momma hatch a few out.

I think I will just let this flock flutter out and start all over.

Sometimes it is nice to have the older ones show the younger ones how to live! My old girls are priceless when it comes to hail, snowdrift hopping and all sorts of treats. The meatie chicks ran in a panic from an airplane that was way high up and I was looking around for something serious. They could use an older hen to calm their butts down and QUIT WASTING the calories that I 'm feeding....

So passed my driving test. The lady at the dmv that does the processing seemed amazed I got no faults. Well good gravy I've been driving how many years now...I know what I'm doing! They were giving me heck at the dmv for not bringing a "licensed driver" with me for the driving test. Um, one they told me at the other dmv that was fine I was my own licensed driver and two, I've been a fully licensed driver for well over ten years now. Sure that may be in Canada not the U.S. But really?!?

Sigh. I was so flustered at first after getting crap from the first couple people I dealt with I forgot where my defrost was. (Cause I've never had need to use that. Ugh. Brain. Fart.) the guy who actually tested me was cool though.

Morning! Nothing but chores going on over here. Third son is moving out, down to the ranch today. AM/PM stock feeding chores in exchange for living space. He is pretty excited and I think it is cute watching his emotions that he is going through.
