One thing I know still confuses me.. Our alerts changed for like to reactions
reply was used now everything is reaction not sure if I am the only one.. just my humble opinion
The Like to React makes sense as now you can react in multiple ways to someone's post. I haven't seen the Reply to React, but I know it still says Quote when someone quotes you but I don't get alerts for replies unless they are on a thread I started.

Several more options than just liking a post. Quicker for me and for meI It's a lot cleaner to react happy, sad ECT instead of having a new post and put a happy emoji in. I have seen a page of just emoji posts. Your milage may vary

...or one you are subscribed(or watching) to.
I 'watch' a lot of threads that I have not replied to....and get alerts for new replies to them.
I actually have mine set not to do that. I only get alerts if someone quotes me or if they reply to a thread I started. The rest just go into my unread watched threads and I get to them when I get a second.

I want to makes sure I understand the question. Can you be more specific, with examples?
Sure! Often when using the web, service providers assign someone to different categories eg they might get assigned to "camping enthusiast" and "homeowner" and "buddhist" and "female" etc etc. This has numerous benefits and one of the big ones is that ads can be targetted to people who are more likely to buy. Google and Facebook are notorious for profiling people.

So I'm just wondering if byc profiles its users? If so, can I pay for super-premium membership and opt out of profiling?

All my ads are based on things I look at on the internet, and has nothing to do with BYC. They are generated by my device, and my other internet searches.
This is true. If I look at whiz-bangs on Amazon, all of a sudden every site I go to suddenly shows me whiz-bangs of all kinds, colors and price ranges. The same goes if I talk about something within hearing range of my phone. :barnie
