What are They?
Molly said that the Jaerhorn eggs were a nice size and Henderson's chicken chart says that they are above average for size. I would guess that they lay eggs at least as big as my Australorps but not as big as my 76G Jumbo Marans eggs.
Is that a good guess Molly?
Such a sweet picture
My Baby Orpingtons We had Orpington, RIR, and Yokahama chickens in the past; all were purchased as pullets or young adults. This is our very first experience of having baby chicks, and what a wonderful experience it is.. I am enjoying every minute of it. These adorable, beautiful babies were bred and hatched by Deann, "just strutting farms". They will be our pets just like the others, also will be my models for some of my future paintings which I am looking forward to. Dear Deann, thank you very much for these lovely babies, and all your help and guidance. Lual![]()

They really do sound wonderful. I was going to try some for white egg layers but then I remembered the Pita Pintas!
My Bovans Brown won't roost! She's almost a year. I bought 5 from the same flock, but she's the only one that won't roost. She layed an egg on the coop floor today, too. I set her up there but she just gets down. Is this bad?
