When I was in Grammar School, one of the Dads died from Parathion--He was a water Guy for the local water district and went to a farm to turn on their water. I am sure your DH is very careful though.

Wow! I'm taking care of my 2 & 4 yr old grandkids this week while my daughter is in Sacramento for an AT&T training seminar. Her husband works nights at the Shell refinery and sleeps during the day which is not good to do with preschoolers around. They (& Monet) have been sick off and on ever since they started going to daycare. They were fine on Sunday when they came here and sick Monday evening. My daughter came home and took them to Kaiser on Tues. The 4 yr old has strep throat again. It is the second time in the last month. This time, the doctor gave him a stronger antibiotic. Guess which one? Azithromycin! This little guy has had one thing after another including testicular cancer when he was 10 months old. Now he's taking a drug that could seriously affect his heart.

It's possible. But impossible to figure out the cause if it were environmental. As an electrician he has worked in SO many different job sites- really hard to say if he was exposed to various chemicals over the years. Shoot he even has to crawl in attics, under buildings etc...dirty dirty places. He wears coveralls and masks usually anymore. He's had heart palpitations for at least a decade and that was before he got into Ag. It's been the past 2 years that it's gotten markedly worse. We are in our 30s now- so things are starting to show some wear and tear lol.

I am sure he will be fine! You might want to see if there is another antibiotic he can use.

Good thing that I ordered an extra bottle of Oxine! I love that stuff! I'm going to mention it to my daughter. I feel so bad for her. She is juggling a demanding job along with parenting recurrently sick kids without a lot of help from her husband. It is amazing how well that antibiotic works, though. One dose and Lucas was like a different kid. Yesterday, he was wiped out on the couch most of the day and today he is playing, playing, playing.

They all have little pink combs. Well not really pink but more yellow but they are bigger than I would like to see. When do the cockerels start showing dark feathers on their chest? So far still white and salmon colored.

As soon as the chest feathers come in.

My husband and I call our oldest daughter's first year of daycare the year of the plague. We had her take the summer off to give our immune systems a break. When she went back she hardly got sick at all. Now, our younger daughter is in daycare and she has already been exposed to everything. Hardly sick at all her first year. I, on the other hand, work at an elementary school and middle school, plus being exposed to all of the daycare germs makes me sick ALL the time. Triple threat. Blech...
