Domestic geese are a selectively bread variation of the Canadian goose as domestic ducks are a variation of mallard. Have you ever seen a Canadian goose hide from rain? They maintain flight right through a winter gale in my area. Not that domestic breeds and wild are identical, but any goose or duck worthy of the name shan’t be harmed by a thunderstorm’s worth of water. I’d wonder more about wind if it gets up near 40mph. But even then, they'd probably be fine.
