I have a half broody duck. She hasn't been sitting because I keep taking her eggs and she is pretty worked up about it.

I also have a pair of ducklings that are a few days old from the feed store.

Is there any chance at all she would take them and take care of them?

Should I just raise them in a brooder until they are fully feathers and then introduce them to the flock?

I'm prepared to raise them indoors, but would love if she could adopt them, but don't know if it works that way.

Could you let her set and slip one underneath her and monitor her behavior?

So leave her eggs for like a week and once she is fully attached to the nest try slipping her the ducklings? Do they have a concept that not enough time has passed for the eggs to have hatched?

i had a broody duck sitting on eggs for 2 weeks. She left the nest, so I put the eggs in the incubator. I increased the humidity tonight, I think they will hatch this weekend. I'm going to try to give some back to her. She is still quite hormonal, but not staying on a nest. So sometimes you just have to try and see what happens. Just have a Plan B, in case.
