Chick hatching gone wrong!! Help!

Good luck and make sure to supply your girl with a lot of calcium so she doesn’t start pecking eggs(pullets usually peck eggs for calcium)!!

I think shes just violent to be honest, shes just over a year old now, top of the pecking order and pecks anyone who annoys her, I love her to pieces but it may just be her personality :/ opened the air sack of an egg and see movement! Hopefully they'll be okay

Good luck! Do you have a heated blanket or heating pad (like for back pain?) You could try putting them on or under that?

Some broody hens just know to sit, and don't know what to do when the chicks start hatching.

I've had dead chicks here killed by first time broody moms. I've found one thrown out of nest box onto the floor peeping. Had to raise that one myself as an only chick.

Some don't give room for them to hatch and the crushed egg shells are stuck to the dead chicks.

That's why I now keep better watch on them at hatching, especially on first time broody moms in order to intervene if necessary.
