Heritage Barred Rocks can carry the dwarf gene which needs to be watched out for. Not sure how common it is in buff Orpingtons though.

Beautiful!
I will post results when I get to it.
So, Moorhead is what you're looking for, or is that the correct head coloration Partridge Silkie hens supposed have?
Oh, okay. Misunderstood what you meant.Thankyou!
An all black crest is undesirable (can still be shown though) and ideally it should be an even mix of lemon and black![]()
They're pretty, I especially like the black tiped Partridge pattern in the first picture. These are 2 sex linked hens I hatched this spring and I couldn’t be happier with how they’ve turned out.
I haven't looked at EBay, and I wouldn't as it is to risky to get ripped off or not actually have a relationship with the breeder if something were to happen in shipping. There are plenty of breeders, it's just hard to find a way to get the birds up here. I did check out of curiosity and there weren't anyTheir short fluffy bodies make them look like chunky birds which is cute. Sorry your Partridge Wyandotte hens didn't survive. Have you checked EBay?

Camo eggs sound cool. You can call them Mint Chip eggs too.My project for the upcoming years is to create camo eggs by breeding a Legbar over a Welsummer. Then, hopefully crossing some Australorp in to increase production.
The grandson is miffed cause I got a FCM for "chocolate" eggs for his older sister lol.
Hello chicken peoples, I would like to hear your breeding projects for 2020?
