I think those are some beautiful birds! I wish I had more room. You shouldn't have any problems selling them.We are preparing for our biggest hatching season to date. I've been doing various small experiments and am now confident enough to start offering some of our hybrids to the public. Here's what we're hatching:

That looks great! Is there any particular reason that you’re labeling the chicks as layers of specific colors instead of their breed hybrid? You could add that the names such as “fancy brown” don’t represent the chicks’ genetics or an actual variety, but are your own description of their physical appearance. We are preparing for our biggest hatching season to date. Yes, I needed my marketing side to win out over my geeky side. For the majority of my buyers, the genetics of this many egg colors, feather colors, combs and different breeds was too much info and took away the fun of a rainbow egg flock. Until recently, I’ve tried hybrid names like Dom-Spitz or Olive Egger F1 or F2, and tried to describe feather colors & patterns more specifically, but I realized the top interest of most people in my area is climate hardiness, predator savviness and egg colors. So, I’m trying a simplified version. It’s still more complicated than many are interested in. You can still see the breeds listed in the table at the top, if you’re curious. That looks great! Thanks for the message! I agree there aren't many people in Southeast, MO active on the forum. There are a few on the Missouri threadHi neighbor! I'm in Butler County! So we are in the same neck of the woods! Just moved back home from Oklahoma after being gone for 10 years. Building my flock up! I'm on FB and have a page called "My Chicken Obsession" if you want a local chicken buddy lol! I don't really see anyone on the groups that's close to me. Everyone is by Cackle Hatchery in Lebanon, or by KC, or Springfield. I've been dabbling in chickens for a few years, but had to start my flock over when we moved back so I'm between new layers, incubators, and matchmaking my hens and roos. It's fun but hard work! I hope to bump into you on some of my other groups! There's no other chicken people in my family except my cousins little boys next door who are 5 and 8![]()
