Good morning, everyone! Here is the morning greeting from Hika Ma:

...And from Po, too!

I am sorry but Po has the FUNNIEST crow ever, he breathes in and it looks like it's going to be like Hika's crow, then it comes out like a little high pitched girl!!
I am sorry Po, but you are just to funny

 Well, at least he's cute, right?

Anyway, it looks like I've created a monster--so to speak, I mean. Margaret is lonely, and I'm basing that belief on the fact that she pretty much just sits in the corner of her pen closest to the door to the house until she either sees someone come out into the garage with her or she hears someone talking through the other door of the garage. With that in mind, I decided to eat my supper of spaghetti and tomato sauce out in the garage with her so that she wasn't so alone at least for a little while. :)

Margie was fine with that and got up to do her usual scratching around while I sat at a work bench nearby and ate. Then, she noticed that I was eating and she looked at me, and, well, she does have a cute face... So I gave her a bit of spaghetti noodle to try. She ate the noodle down like nothing and then stood at the door of her pen the rest of the time I was out there, waiting for me to give her more bits of noodle. The spoiling has only just begun.

The other little ladies and gentlemen will be 11 weeks old tomorrow, so be ready for pictures! :D I don't know if they've changed much visually, but they sure do seem BIGGER than last week!

The youngsters are 11 weeks old today!! :D While I was out with them, but before I took pictures, I set up a way for them to go in and out of their pen without letting the big girls in (except the bantams, of course. You'll see it in the background of a couple of these pictures, namely Po's and I think Whiri's as well. Basically, it's welded wire fence with small openings cut in it. It may seem small, but I did test it. Whiri, the largest of the pullets, can fit through, so I know the rest can as well. :) Anyway, onward!

Hika Ma the jerk:

Huka (she was giving me pointers on my photography techniques, I guess):

1000

Ihi (who was also talking, but most likely about how indignant she was that I bothered her):

1000

Po baby the adorable! :love

1000

Rangi the magnificent!

1000

Roha (I LOVE this picture of her!):

1000

Tiwhiri the beautiful!

1000

Oh, and Marama. Well, Marama was difficult today. The best side shot I got of her was her hunched over the feeder:

1000

She did, however, take a nice picture from the front, which I think will do for her 11 week picture. :)

Lookie! :love Po baby standing guard over 'his' flock! How adorable is that?

1000

Huka was very interested in the camera today.

Ihi drinking. Her face was too funny not to share.

Ihi the jungle bird:

I just liked this picture of Roha. :D

And some pictures of Margaret the Birthday Silkie, just because. :D

Blending into her bedding:

1000

Oh, hey, there's a camera in here!

1000

Such a pretty face, and I love her eyes... :love

1000

Aw, thanks! :D

Lookie! Roha next to one of the big girls, my beloved blue splash Marans, Frou-Frou! She didn't even seem to notice that Roha was there! :love (Sorry for the bad quality, it's a cell phone picture. :D )

1000

So I left Roha and Rangi on the perches, since no one else really wanted to cooperate with that idea. :fl Hope all turns out well in the morning!
