Today, the babies are 11 months old!!
e (And Margaret will be 1 year old toward the middle / end of the month.
)
So since spring is here and my head has started hurting as a result of all the flowers blooming, I was grumpy.
And the girls were not cooperating this morning for their pictures, of course. The only ones that wanted to cooperate were not the ones I needed to get pictures of, and of course, they walk right up and plant themselves between me and the desired subject of the pictures. I twice ended up with a bird on my shoulder while I was crouched getting pictures. First Wynne, an older Easter-egger, and then Huka, of all birds! Then at last, I was so sick of fighting with them that when Rangi wasn't cooperating, I said, "Will you hold still for 2 seconds?!" And to my surprise, she did!
Which helped my mood significantly. I at last got all the pictures I needed, and spent some time with the girls afterward. (I was feeling kind of bad for grumping at them--not that I yelled or anything, but I kept having to push the older girls out of the way and all they wanted was some attention. D: ) Finally, it's almost dusk and here I am uploading the pictures I took hours ago. Phew!
Okay, here we go. The young ladies (and Mr. Po)!
Huka Kairakau:
Ihi--as you can see, I could only get a clear picture of her when she was drinking.
Marama! The sun caused some sort of foggy effect here, but I kind of liked how it turned out anyway.
Miss Rangi, who's apparently good at following directions.
Roha with her tail all fanned:
My beautiful Whiri:
And the big man of the flock (so to speak
), Po:
