Today I noticed one of my chicks was droopy, they were ruffled up with a downward tail. I'm guessing it has coccidiosis as someone told me that what their symptoms sound like. I was wondering what the exact dosage for corid liquid bottle preferably in teaspoons/tablespoons would be for 1.5 quarts of water. I'm also wondering if I should be treating all of my chickens water now because I've heard it's very contagious. I also noticed that this chicks crop felt very empty so I don't think it's eating or even drinking so I'm also wondering what dose I should give it orally if it wont drink. Any information you can give would be very appreciated especially if you could give it soon.

Will this help?
I would do half a teaspoon in a qaurt of water
Would you know the dosage to give the one chick who I don't believe is eating or drinking? I believe I should give it about .06 ml but I want to be sure. Also should I dose my main flock as well? I've heard it's very contagious but I couldn't find an answer to just how contagious.

Have you seen any symptoms in the flock besides this one? If you notice other runny poops I would. If not just keep a close eye for them acting off or if the poops change I would treat right away.

Dosage: https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...ol-ampromed-the-correct-amprolium-dose.73341/ - and yes I would make Corid water the only water source for the whole flock while treating.

For 1.5 quarts that's 3/4 tsp to 1.5 qt water for five days, then .1875 tsp (halfway between 1/8th and 1/4 tsp) for another 7 days, up to 14 days if needed. Please double check the math, I'm admittedly not great at it.

As far as the bird showing symptoms, if you know how to direct dose with a plastic syringe (aka drenching), I would do that a couple times each day using the same Corid water mixture, until you see that it can drink for itself. If you've never done that before, the main gist is to not force liquid in as they can choke - aim for a few drops at a time on the bottom beak and let them swallow it themselves, then a few more drops.
