Cochin Thread!!!

Berri didn't make it, this morning she decided food and water wasn't her thing anymore and she declined very quickly. Only my 2nd chick I've lost and I know these things happen so I'm okay with it better her to rest now than suffer but now I have new issue the other chick she was with seems very sad now and she is super healthy i don't want to loose her too has anyone delt with depressed chicks and can it be fatal? I am having trouble finding another chick in my area close to me and I can't drive back to where we got her from because it's such a long drive

You need to find a chick, any chick. They need company. No feed store chicks near you?

I do but they are done with their "Easter" chucks everything else is special order and could take a couple weeks I'll go out and get and local paper see if there is any chicks for sale

Craig's List, I found guinea keets. I ended up with one keet out of a dozen shipped eggs so I had to find more fast. I got a couple of Cortinex quail chicks, but they are so passive the smaller keet pushed them around for awhile until they settled. I wouldn't recommend them as companions for chicks.
