Yeah, they have facial recognition cameras through the whole building. But we've seen that sort of aggressive persecution is often reserved for specific movements. So I'm gonna wait and see.

With the way things are going in my little piece of the world, what's one more hit? And really, it puts the rest of my mess into a bit of perspective. I will say, though, that watching this all unfold has been enough to scare me back under my rock again.

FB is like any other tool. It's all how it's used.

This is the truth. I still don't think it's great, but I have to have it anyways as I'm so rural that there's no service here, and wifi texting doesn't work, so the way to keep in contact with friends and family is mostly messenger.
I don't go on it much, but I've found that I can mostly make it work. I unfollowed most all of my friends and family, and joined some sheep farmer groups, goat group, stuff like that. Sometimes there are some posts that get through the cracks that are political or something, typically I'll leave the group if it is recurring and move on.
