They arrested more people at the aforementioned teargassing I attended in my city.
I could not possibly roll my eyes harder.

Did you ever watch the movie "Rambo: First Blood?" The foolish local police went all out after John Rambo for a minor offense, which drove him into PTSD war-mode. His former commander, assigned to "bring him in," told them they should have just let him go and picked him up quietly in a couple of weeks while he "was working at a gas station," or some other innocuous job. There are TONS of news photos, cell phone shots and security footage - all of which will aid in arrests. We may never know how many, but I'd be willing to bet that they'll be in the hundreds. I wouldn't want to be the guy with his work boots on Pelosi's desk or the ones ramming poles into those ornate windows so they could climb through ...

I must admit I've not seen any of them. But I'm also super jaded and have zero faith in "the system" as it were. So I will see it when I believe it. And be happy if I do.

As I recall, Nero might have been responsible for the fires, wanting to clear the rabble and cheap buildings out so he could build something better looking.
And I hope responsible parties get nailed for today's awfulness.

I can't watch any more, at least not without serious gastrointestinal discomfort ...
The election is all moot now, anyway, so it's all about the fallout ... and maybe some more showboating. I guess I'll just have to check back in the morning to see how the mass defections progress. I normally can't stand to listen to politicians speak, but I did listen to my state's fellas. Steny did my heart good (until I had to tune out his characteristically looooooong wind) and Van Hollen pleasantly surprised me. I even caught Holly's first "speechlet" on PA ... and now I understand the objections. They were actually legitimate, and will likely be addressed outside of the current mess. Good for him!
And good for bedtime ... 'cuz that's where I'm headed. G'night All.

I don't particularly care to listen to politicians myself, but when it's something as historic an occasion as this, I don't like to ignore it. I will say I'm deeply saddened by today, and we need to remember a life was lost. I was impressed by Senator Ben Sasse's speech, emphasizing the importance of loving your neighbor. I think that's something that's forgotten too often. So I thought, for a republican, that was good. I kid, I kid. Really it was nice though.

Same here. All I can say is. Shameful, disgusting. I'm glad I made myself stop and remember, this is only a small..small..portion of our country behaving like that. I want to believe that more of us have a loving, caring, soul.

I can't believe I'm doing it again! I have eggs coming. I'm going to hatch .. during the cold months. I will have new layers earlier this year. That's if...the eggs don't freeze before they get here. I'm excited to be getting some Nn eggs. Crossing fingers for a couple of hens from them.
