Sounds amazing!!! :love

Also is everyone doing pork tonight or!? Saw someone else doing pork tonight too. We did pork last night but I didn’t eat any because I hate pork 😂 ended up just having some toast and celery with PB lol
No idea 😂 we have been doing a lot of chicken, but I figured I'd switch it up.

That's one of the issues my daughter is facing at work. Some of the janitors, respiratory techs, the folks who collect blood, etc. are refusing to go into the ICU patient rooms. That means the nurses who should be providing specialize care for double and triple their case loads are having to do some of these less skilled functions too.

It's not that I can't understand why someone making low wages wouldn't want to put themselves at risk but none of the medical personnel want to be at risk either. And yet that's the job they trained for and signed on for and they're doing it in battle zone conditions.

I'm happy to report that everyone at my hospital is stepping up, From the housekeepers, office workers, dietary , maintenance, nurses, to Dr's. Everyone is not only doing their jobs, but more then willing to jump in where ever they are needed. I really work with a great group of people. Maybe it's because we are such a small and close-nit community.

Sorry piggies, but I love pork. :hmm I'll get some pork in at some point this week.

I'm making chicken and veggie soup with orzo. Tomorrow we'll go vegetarian with paneer and saag masala and rice. Then creamy navy bean and ham soup, and tuna and slaw hoagies with a side of fruit to round out the week. Still plan on eating out via takeout on weekends, trying to throw some money into the local economy.

Yup all dogged up here.

Oh yeah, I figured, but still, shepherd mix, right? Love all shepherds/labs/his type of dogs 😂😂

And :lau husky right? Or malamute?

Dogs are amazing and definitely help a lot!! I have a cat and lots of other pets But it’s not the same as a dog! I miss mine so much 😭:hit

Yeah The Star is some sort of shepherd, lab, hound, malamute mix. She's got a thick double coat, heterochromia, built like a lab, colored like a shepherd, bays like a hound. She's smart and steady with a mind of her own. She's 12 and she has bad hips half the time and wrestles like a puppy the other half. She's SUPER gentle with puppies and small animals and VERY particular about adult dogs and people. I've had her for her whole life - we've been through a lot together.

(That's a lop bunny under her. They were good buds back when I lived in an apartment.)

The Killer is an 8yr old AKC husky. She's got the happiest shiniest eyes. She also used to have a running kill count. I stopped counting. She's killed cats, rats, groundhogs, squirrels, chipmunks, mice, wild birds.... She tried to fight a hawk through a fence once. Its talons got stuck in her mouth and as soon as she got free of it she went back to trying to attack it. She doesn't like to play with toys but likes learning/following commands, barking at other dogs playing, and polite cuddles.

(Doing a "wave" for a snack.)

(Happy to murder)

The Boy is new. He's an aussie/bc mix. He's a coward but smart as a whip and catches on to new tasks instantly. He worries a lot and his focus is bad. He thinks the chickens belong in the coop and not the pen. Strangers are scary but he finally trusts trash cans. Keys on a keyring are unacceptable. He likes to chase the bunnies through the cage wire, and to then climb into the cages with them and groom them. His favorite thing in the world is fetch, his second favorite is climbing into your lap and putting his paws on your shoulders like a hug for attention. He's the only dog I've ever had that wants to chase cars. He's got a long way to go. He's also the first boy dog in the local family in my whole lifetime.

Each one of them has a role to play here, though The Star is mostly retired and does whatever she wants at this point. We used to do a LOT with her, agility, scent tracking, obedience, trick training, rat hunting, you name it. Now she sleeps a lot. The Killer keeps critters out of the lawn and chicken pen. She will fight things that threaten our plants and flock no matter how big. We're working on The Boy with herding. He doesn't have the focus for it yet but it's been getting better.

(Not to mention they're great to quarantine with and for my mental health.)

I love pulled pork and I’ve had a few good pork chops (mostly with apple sauce or a plum reduction sauce) but I mostly hate it lol I don’t even really like bacon 😂🙈

And I had to Google some of those.

But they sound good!! We don’t usually plan or cook :lau we all just do our own thing usually lol
